SOLUTIONS / EDUCATION

A considered infrastructure plan behind every learning experience.

Course content, student portals and assessment applications place different demands on resources. Plan an education setup on FibaCloud around seasonal activity, user access, files and data retention. Let the technical design support how your teaching and administrative processes actually work.

01 / Overview

The academic calendar belongs in the infrastructure plan.

Enrolment, assignment deadlines and exams can create demand that differs from everyday use. Assess concurrent operations, uploads and database writes rather than average visitor counts. Consider in advance what a restart could mean during an assessment.

The learning platform, video service and identity provider may be separate systems. Identify who operates each component, where personal records are held and what recovery must include. This solution does not promise a ready-made LMS or a live classroom service.

01

Capacity around the calendar

Prepare for enrolment and exams with application measurements. Assuming that every registered student is active at once, or that none are, can both mislead planning.

02

Roles and access

Define student, instructor and administrator permissions in the application. Review accounts and shared links when users leave the organization.

03

Recoverable learning records

Define backup scope for content, submissions and assessments. Test that a restored application preserves the relationships between those records.

02 / Architecture

Components of an education application

Example architecture: access, application, files and records have separate needs. Live classroom and LMS software are selected independently.

Four education infrastructure decisions

Four education infrastructure decisions
ConsiderHow to decideWhy it matters
Concurrent useTest representative lessons or assessment flows.Registered user counts do not describe the instantaneous workload.
Data scopeClassify student records, course files and assessments.Retention and access requirements become clear.
DependenciesList learning, identity, video and email services. You can assess the effect of an external service failure.
Maintenance windowsAlign updates and recovery procedures with the academic calendar. The effect on lessons and exams can be reviewed.

04 / Use cases

Needs across learning environments

01 / Education

Learning management systems

Measure course access, sessions and assignment uploads together. Schedule application and extension changes around teaching commitments.

02 / Education

Student and institution portals

Map dependencies for enrolment, applications and announcements. Test permissions for each user role.

03 / Education

Educational content libraries

Assess file sizes, access frequency and retention. Treat video processing and live delivery as separate needs from file storage.

05 / From planning to operation

Prepare for a term and maintain the service

  1. Describe the system

Record software versions, roles and learning workflows. Identify the operator responsible for each component.

  2. Build a representative test

Prepare test records without unnecessary copies of student data. Exercise uploads and concurrent sessions.

  3. Verify access

Use student and instructor accounts to test allowed and denied operations. Do not test only with an administrator.

  4. Rehearse recovery

Restore the application, files and database to a separate environment. Verify that courses and submissions work together.

Talk to our team
Does FibaCloud provide a ready-made LMS?

This solution covers infrastructure planning for education software you choose. LMS deployment, licences, maintenance and integration scope need to be determined separately.

How many students can I serve?

There is no single reliable number. The application, concurrent work, files and selected resources all matter. Assess capacity using representative usage tests.

Should videos stay on the application server?

It depends on the workload. Storage, processing and delivery are separate needs; compare storage choices with access patterns and transfer requirements in mind.

Does cloud hosting ensure regulatory compliance?

Not by itself. Data types, retention, permissions, contracts and applicable obligations require assessment. Infrastructure selection is not automatic compliance certification.
