01 / THE STARTING POINT

A useful starting point for the work ahead.

An application image can reduce the setup work needed to prepare a cloud environment. The right choice still depends on the software your team needs, its dependencies and the way it will be operated. Use the application pages to compare use cases, deployment decisions and official documentation before opening cloud configuration.

Plan beyond the installation screen. A public website, a private file space and a delivery pipeline each have different access, storage and recovery requirements. Confirm the current image version, operating system and license in the cloud panel, then assign responsibility for configuration, updates and application data.

01

Understand the workload

Use the application guides to identify the processes, data and access paths your service will depend on. Choose a starting environment that fits those requirements.

02

Make the scope explicit

Review software editions, licenses and included components before deployment. A cloud instance and a software subscription are separate decisions unless the selected offer states otherwise.

03

Prepare for the next release

Give updates, monitoring and recovery a place in the plan from the start. A repeatable operating process matters after the initial application becomes available.

FROM PLAN TO OPERATION

Build a process you can repeat.

Validate the application and prepare its operating process before depending on it for daily work.

  1. 01

    Choose an application

Compare the intended use case and dependencies. For an existing project, check compatibility with its current data, extensions and runtime before selecting an image.

  2. 02

    Review cloud configuration

Open the deployment flow and confirm the available image, operating system, resource choices and applicable software licensing. Use the current order details for commercial terms.

  3. 03

    Configure and validate

Set the domain or access endpoint, protect credentials and review network permissions. Test the actual application workflow with representative users and data.

  4. 04

    Establish ongoing ownership

Name the people responsible for software updates, capacity reviews, backups and restore tests. Keep the configuration and recovery procedure available to the operating team.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you move forward.

Clarify the application and operating requirements before choosing the deployment.

Discuss your requirements
What is included in a Marketplace deployment?

The selected application image provides a starting software environment. Review its current component and version details in the cloud panel; application configuration, data and any additional services depend on your project.

Are all listed applications free to use?

Licensing varies by application and edition. Some software or integrations require a separate commercial entitlement. Follow the official licensing guidance and confirm the order scope before deployment.

Does an application image include ongoing management?

An image is a deployment starting point. Confirm any managed-service agreement separately and define responsibility for application updates, access control, data protection and troubleshooting.

Can I move an existing application to a Marketplace instance?

Review the supported migration path for the application and its dependencies. Test the copied environment, plan the data and domain cutover and retain a recovery route until the new service is validated.
